BIOGRAPHY

While recognized throughout the western United States for her vibrant pastel paintings, artist Jane Nassano is best known for her diversity. Her large scale, soft pastel florals, nudes and landscapes captivate her viewers and collectors.

Jane Nassano holds a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts from Arizona State University, with a specialization in Graphic Design. She has completed post graduate work at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California. After her first job as a graphic designer for the City of Los Angeles Community Redevelopment Agency, she founded and managed her own Graphic Design Firm in Orange County, California.

She was accepted into the Master of Fine Arts program at California State University, Fullerton. While doing coursework for a Masters Degree in Graphic Design, she took an Illustration class where she noticed that all her drawings were morphing into giant soft pastel paintings on canvas. The seed was planted.

Her background also includes a twenty-four month project in Barbados, West Indies, developing a neon sign design and production plant. As both founder and Senior Designer, Nassano integrated the disciplines of graphic design, fine art and technical acumen in her role.

With the Arizona desert calling her back, Nassano's return to Arizona in 1992 was accompanied by a shift in her career commitment to fine art, where she continues to be a working artist. Nassano has exhibited in both solo and group exhibitions in Canada, Las Vegas, Salt Lake City, Kansas City, Chicago, Washington D.C., and throughout California, Colorado and Arizona. For years she participated in Scottsdale's prestigious "Celebration of Fine Art" and the "Fine Art Expo," juried two-month shows. Nassano's work is represented in private collections across the United States & Europe. She has received numerous awards for her work, both for painting and graphic design. Her work can be seen presently at the Fountain Hills Artists Gallery in Fountain Hills, AZ and at On the Edge Gallery in Downtown Scottsdale.
